Primary Function:

The Inventory Control Coordinator will assist the organization’s material handling and manufacturing departments by ensuring material accuracy, availability, and assisting with team member compliance to process. Directly supports material handling teams by managing bin check and cycle count programs with routine audits of process.

Responsibilities:

  • Management of bin check schedules, processing, and key metrics.
  • Completion of routine Cycle Count audits for defined components.
  • Management of quarantined items as directed by engineering, project management, and purchasing.
  • Auditing of material pick lists for component items that are picked/kitted/sequenced to support the near-term sequence of production jobs.
  • Management of min/max inventory sizing for component warehouse and manufacturing.
  • Confirm the accurate and timely completion of inventory transactions, consistent with pick list and min/max material handling instructions.
  • Auditing of receiving BoL’s and packing slips to ensure complete and free from error.
  • Escalate and problem solve any found / known inventory discrepancies.
  • Use visual factory tools to help understand how production and materials teams are doing and update as required.
  • Responsible for confirming work order completion or assigning to proper on hold status.

Job Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years experience in area of inventory control and material flow
  • Must be able to work effectively in a computer environment
  • Strong math and problem-solving skills to be applied in a manufacturing environment
  • Situational leadership, ethics, problem-solving, strategic thinking, and cultural competency
  • Must possess effective communication skills to clearly communicate information to others, to include management
  • Knowledgeable about material handling operations to ensure procedural adherence
  • Knowledge of continuous improvement initiatives and material flow
  • Strong customer service skills, including active listening, prompt service and follow-up.
  • Ability to evaluate data and consider decision impact across multiple areas.
  • Strong decision analysis and problem-solving skills; ability to draw conclusions and justify decisions.
  • High degree of self-motivation and the ability to work independently
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Proven ability to work independently, take initiative, and work to plan
