The Role:

Entegris Site in Bedford, MA is seeking a Production Equipment Manager to join our team.

The Production Equipment Manager will lead a team of high skilled technicians by supervising the Equipment and Plant maintenance for Entegris Specialty Coatings Teams. Candidate must possess long-term vision and should be data-driven to strive for maintenance excellence. This includes managing Preventative maintenance in SAP, monthly metric reporting of downtimes and identifying improvement game plans, reducing mean time to failure, working with Engineers to improve detection, focusing on employee development, and working with cross-functional teams to support root cause investigations. The candidate must have the ability to work in challenging situations and help the team with conflicting priorities.

What You’ll Do:

  • Lead a team of maintenance technicians and maintenance planner.
  • Coordinate and enact site safety programs, while making sure safety policies are maintained.
  • Responsible for day-to-day equipment and plant maintenance.
  • Work with production management and production planning team to understand priorities with timeline and communicate it to the team, review work completed, and communicate progress to stakeholders daily.
  • Use SAP data to review failures weekly and lessons learned with the team to help seek suggestions and drive improvements.
  • Report Equipment maintenance metrics weekly and monthly to the management team with action plans.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to improve equipment availability and drive excellence.
  • Evaluates competencies of personnel, is a good motivator, and institutes personnel development plans to successfully meet existing and future requirements.
  • Lead site shutdown activities with site EHS, and site facilities team and work with production and Engineering to bring production back up safely.
  • Manage onsite and offsite spare assets and conduct periodic reviews with appropriate owners.
  • Review internal Equipment manuals to confirm completeness and correctness of functions, maintenance, and corrective actions.
  • Manage and update organizational and guidance documentation.
  • Manage maintenance budget effectively and drive cost savings.
  • Lead spare part management through the SAP system and ensure work orders are properly closed to reflect inventory accuracy for spares.
  • Support capital projects with Engineering and follow the acceptance test criteria to safely release new equipment to manufacturing.

  • Ability to support on-call as needed when technicians are not available on-call.
  • Ability to communicate and work cross-functionally in a dynamic, fast-paced, and diverse environment Experience utilizing data to drive continuous improvement, sustainability, reliability, and cost-reduction initiatives.
  • Ability to work with chemicals and in the clean room environment.
  • Ability to use mechanical and electrical drawings.
  • Understanding of pneumatic control systems.

Outstanding Candidates Will Have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, facilities management, or any related field OR at least 5-7+ years of progressive maintenance and facilities leadership roles.
  • “Safety First” attitude which is practiced with integrity and a high degree of accountability for results.
  • Proven track record (5+ years ideally) of hands-on management/development of an Equipment Maintenance and Facilities team comprised of employees and contractors at multiple locations.
  • Strong technical understanding of vacuum systems, electrical systems, HVAC systems, and various mechanical and architectural systems. Coatings background is a plus.
  • Strong data driven mindset and believe in systems.
  • SAP background or similar system background for PM management.
  • Enthusiastic learner and continuous improvement mindset.
