SWBC is seeking a talented individual to administer the SWBC PEO 401(k) program for client companies and shared employees by working with assigned corporate clients to coordinate services being provided by a third-party administrator.


Essential duties include the following:


  • Advises clients and/or employees on policies and procedures for the third-party 401(k) program, the benefits of maintaining a 401(k) plan, plan options and designs, and other financial services to include meeting with clients/employees to process open enrollments and to ensure plan compliance with Federal and state laws and reporting requirements.
  • Provides enrollment support for all clients who adopt the company 401(k).
  • Processes and enters all necessary adjustments on the carrier sites/HRP. Assists with all needed HPR updates upon client renewals.
  • Maintains program deductions to include submitting deductions to the third-party administrator, reconciling deductions to transfers and transfers to payments.
  • Processes monthly client account reconciliations. Processes distributions, rollovers, and loans.
  • Gathers, calculates, and regularly reports metrics on general business activities relative to performance and quality assurance and performs yearly plan audits.
  • Stays abreast of current regulations and new pension plan laws by attending seminars, professional association meeting, and/or other training activities.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned.


Serious candidates will possess the minimum qualifications:


  • High School Diploma or equivalency required.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Accounting, or related field of study from an accredited four-year college or university preferred.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of 401(k)/defined contribution retirement plan administration and/or design, or related experience preferred.
  • Experience working in accounting, payroll, and/or human resources preferred.
  • Proficient in 401(k) statements, payroll contributions, and distributions.
  • Proficient general accounting knowledge.
  • Strong reconciliation skills.
  • Excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent presentation skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and organizations skills.
  • Able to exercise sound judgement and formulate decisions.

  • Proficient Microsoft Office skills, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Able to travel locally or nationally by car or plane.
  • Sit for long periods of time performing sedentary activities.
  • Stand, stoop, and kneel to file for long periods of time.
