Kinetics is a now recruiting for a Safety Manager who will be responsible for safety at one of our local pharmaceutical projects starting June 2024.


This role will manage and coordinate safety activities to ensure compliance with safety laws and regulations; implement, monitor and maintain safety programs and facilitate corrective measures as necessary; provide guidance to management on regulatory compliance, training, safety investigations, worker's compensation, and policy questions; and position the company as a leader in Safety. This position will report to the Regional Safety Manager.


Primary Duties:

  • Implement and support all SAFETY systems and programs, including site training, inspections/audits, industrial hygiene, implementation of company SAFETY policies, accident investigation/reporting and regulatory compliance programs.
  • Provide ongoing SAFETY support and continually raise the level of Safety awareness and training of Service management, Employees and Contractors (as applicable).
  • Provide ongoing SAFETY support/facilitation of management driven Safety Audits/Risk Assessments and work collaboratively with site management to ensure sustainable solutions are implemented.
  • Collaboratively work with site management in ensuring compliance with statutory requirements, company policies and practices with regards to safety standards.
  • Lead site rollout of “Leading with Safety” initiatives.
  • Work as a liaison with Local, State and Federal regulatory agencies (OSHA, NFPA, etc.).
  • Continuous interpretation and compliance planning for regulatory requirements.
  • Work closely with Regional Safety Manager to verify a team approach is used to effectively monitor and comply with all SAFETY activities.
  • Directly assist and/or take lead on disaster recovery efforts such as water related incidents, etc.

Requirements:

  • 30- hour OHSA certification in construction and a minimum of 5 years of relevant safety experience, preferably in Construction environment is the minimum requirement.
  • Bachelor of Science Degree in related field is a plus.
  • Extensive working knowledge of OSHA rules and requirements is REQUIRED.
  • Experience and competence in performing and implementing key (Training, Incident Investigation, Audit etc.) aspects of the Kinetics Safety and Health program.
  • Strong management, communication and influencing skills from Site Management to Field Technician level employees.
  • Competent in coaching, teaching and presenting.
  • Ability to form, facilitate and maintain internal and cross functional teams and relationships.
  • Competent in Federal, State and Local S&H regulations and the regulatory agencies governing the assigned facilities.
  • Competent in Microsoft Office software including Word and Excel.
  • Safety Accreditations such as CHST, CMSP or CSP are a plus.
  • Employee must be able to function in an office environment as well as the company’s field work environment, including the environmental conditions described below and the physical demands of working/auditing at the building and/or plant level (standing, walking, sitting, stooping, kneeling, climbing, crouching or crawling)
  • Occasional use of personal protective equipment, including a respirator.
  • Will frequently be exposed to outdoor environment conditions which include: Wet or humid conditions, outdoor weather conditions including extreme cold or heat.
  • Working near moving mechanical parts
  • Working at height, sometimes in precarious places.
  • Industrial risks similar to those experienced by field personnel including noise, dust, electrical and mechanical risks, large equipment and vehicles, and occasional work in enclosed spaces.

  • Field safety- standing, walking, climbing ladders, potential to lift material 20lbs or heavier, etc.
