Job Details
Responsibilities:
- Oversee and seek to improve all aspects of the supply chain strategy by reviewing current methodology and processes
- Assist logistics process for the development of new products, inventory maintenance, manufacturing, shipment and delivery, and returns on products
- Plan and implement forecast projections to drive production and inventory planning goals
- Review proposals, negotiate prices, select or recommend suppliers, analyze trends, follow up on orders placed, verify delivery, approve payment, and maintain necessary records. May prepare bid packages
- Generate reports and develop presentations to help management understand the logistics perspective
- Track KPIs and generate reports for supply chain performance
- Organize and oversee inventory by keeping a detailed database of available inventory and expected usage
- Research and seek out the most cost-efficient shipment procedures and methods
- Collaborate with other departments to create effective databases to manage and organize inventory
- Build and maintain a relationship with vendors while promoting company initiatives and values
- Train and evaluate other members of the Supply Chain team
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Management, or related field.
- Minimum of 6 years of experience, preferably in operations/supply chain management
- Strong knowledge of supply chain methodologies, tools, and processes.
- Excellent leadership and decision-making skills.
- Ability to work in and with an ERP/MRP system (Infor experience is a plus)
- Familiarity with manufacturing/processing environment preferred
