The College of Nursing is a National League for Nursing Center of Excellence and is home to the Indiana Center for Evidence Based Nursing Practice, a JBI Affiliate Center.

The College offers undergraduate degrees including a traditional BSN, second degree accelerated BSN, and an online RN to BSN. We offer several MSN options including two advanced practice roles (family nurse practitioner and adult-gerontology clinical nurse specialist) and two online advanced practice specialties (nurse educator and nurse executive). Our post-master's DNP program has a focus in translation science.

Purdue University Northwest's College of Nursing invites applications for the full-time academic position of assistant or associate professor of nursing to begin August 2024. Rank and salary will be commensurate with background and experience.

Faculty responsibilities include conducting scholarly work in a field of expertise, grant writing, teaching graduate and undergraduate nursing in classroom (on campus) and online environments, and participating in university, professional and community service.

Education

The position requires an earned research doctorate (PhD) in nursing or a related field (master's degree in nursing required if doctoral degree is in another field). Candidate must possess current licensure to practice professional nursing in the United States and be eligible for successful Indiana RN licensure. Proficiency in English, written and spoken, is also required.

Experience

Candidates with a strong commitment to contributing to the science of nursing and excellent classroom teaching skills, online teaching experience and are strongly encouraged to apply.
