The In-House Attorney will be responsible for providing legal advice and support to the company, ensuring compliance with laws and regulations, reviewing and drafting contracts, managing legal risks, and advising on corporate governance matters. The role requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with internal stakeholders.


This is a full-time on-site role for an In-House Attorney at Air Charter Service in the Long Island Area.

They serve a wide range of clients, including governments, multinational corporations, royalty, and international aid agencies, specializing in custom charters for various needs such as sports events, transportation of outsized cargo, and VIP trips.


ACS is a rapidly growing company, generating over $1 billion in revenue and arranging more than 25,000 charter flights annually.


A DAY IN THE LIFE

  • Reviewing, negotiating and finalizing commercial contracts, terms & conditions, non-disclosure agreements and other legal documents, such as agreements with our clients and airlines, and drafting any necessary policies and procedures;
  • Responding to any incoming enquiries to our shared Legal mailbox;
  • Supporting the Legal team on company secretarial matters across the global business;
  • Advising on data privacy matters, reviewing data processing agreements and privacy policies;
  • Managing litigation matters, including reporting on litigation matters to the senior management team;
  • Liaising with the wider business and our Bids and Compliance teams as required.


THE INDIVIDUAL

  • Contract drafting and negotiation experience preferred
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • An ability to work independently and to collaborate with team members, including other attorneys, sales staff, administrative staff and upper management
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Highly organized
  • Excellent communicator to all organization seniority levels
  • Ability to thrive working under pressure
  • A creative, problem-solving mindset, with demonstrated ability to turn ideas into products or actions
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Previous exposure to the sales bids process


QUALIFICATIONS

  • Candidate must be admitted to New York State Bar
  • Candidate must have 1+ year legal/law firm experience


TRAINING & TRAVEL

  • International training, based in our London HQ, for approximately 2 to 4 weeks
  • Training and travel expenses are covered by the company
