General Purpose:
Maintain the location’s interior in a clean, sanitary, and safe manner. (e.g., office, breakroom, restroom)
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Maintain a safe and clean internal building appearance through good housekeeping, organization, and management of walking surfaces.
- Follow work schedules to complete all required cleaning and sanitizing, and complete non-routine cleaning according to specified job orders.
- Perform custodian duties, such as vacuuming, sweeping, mopping floors, picking up debris, emptying trash cans and recycling, and general cleaning; these activities may include using equipment such as floor sweepers, polishers, vacuum cleaners, and dusters.
- Maintain all restrooms, locker rooms, breakrooms, and footbaths in a sanitary manner; replenish supplies and paper products in break room and restrooms.
- Maintain inventory of cleaning and other supplies; notify appropriate contact or update supply sheet to re-order supplies.
- Handle emergency cleaning and upkeep requests
- Use chemicals to sanitize and clean the facility.
- Perform related duties as requested by environmental health and safety (EHS), maintenance, management, or other staff members (e.g., help to coordinate and/or prepare for inspections and special events)
- Distribute personal protective equipment (PPE) when needed.
- Follow all safety requirements and wear proper PPE.
- Implement all DFA GMP’s and work in a manner consistent with all corporate and regulatory, food safety, quality, and sanitation requirements. Inform QA personnel of any quality issues.

Education and Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Janitorial or cleaning experience preferred.
- Certification and/or License – may be required during course of employment.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Knowledge of cleaning and sanitizing chemicals
- Able to work safely and follow established policies and procedures.
- Able to follow directions and carry out instructions with little supervision.
- Able to legibly write entries for record keeping.
- Able to perform simple math.
- Must be able to read, write and speak English.
