Falewitch Construction Services, LLC is looking for a full-time Safety Director with

knowledge and experience in safety program management, workers

compensation and construction.


Job Description:

The Safety Director will provide support to the Human Resources department in an

effort to enforce corporate safety and health policies and procedures. In addition,

they shall participate in and complete all tasks designated to them.


Responsibilities:

 Assist in the enforcement of the project safety program

 Conduct and document any jobsite orientation(s) and pre-planning safety

meetings for any and all projects

 Conduct and document regular safety meetings with employees and/or

subcontractors to ensure proper compliance

 Conduct daily jobsite and work area inspections and complete the safety

checklist noting safety violations and corrective actions

 Record, notify, and prepare written report through I-Auditor of any

violations or unsafe practices to the field superintendent, President, Project

Manager, and Human Resource for immediate correction action

 Stop at once any violation or unsafe practice

 Investigate all incidents and generate proper reports

 Establish and maintain all required job safety records

 Conduct a site safety audits weekly

 Regularly brief the President, job site Superintendent and Human Resources

on safety issues and progress of the projects

 Work with HR to manage continuing education files for all field employees to

include, but not limited to: equipment training, CPR/First Aid certificates,

OSHA, Scaffold, PAT, etc.

 Tracking hazards to correction

 Incident/injury investigations and root cause analysis

 Incentive and disciplinary action programs

 Ergonomics programs

 Fleet safety

 Work with our production staff in pre-job planning meetings to ensure all

hazards are controlled to an acceptable level of risk

 Help production develop alternate safety procedures for unique situations

when necessary

 This person will work with our Human Resources Department and our

insurance administrator to manage our workers’ compensation benefits.

 Annual review / update of handbook

 Annual review / update of catastrophic plan

 Annual DMV checks

 DOT requirements for truck(s)


Job Requirements:

 Must be willing to travel between job sites

 Strong management, leadership, and interpersonal skills with the ability to

communicate well both verbally and in writing

 Degree in safety or a BA/BS with an ASP or CSP credential is preferred

 Spanish-English bi-lingual abilities is a plus but not a necessity
