Opportunity
Shepherd Engineering Group is seeking Estimators to join the team at Ballard Marine Construction. This supportive organization offers continued opportunities for career advancement in a dynamic and fun work environment. They help motivate and lift each other up, put safety above all else, and have never left or been released from a project.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate on bid and proposal preparation, negotiate contracts with clients, and provide value engineering solutions across heavy civil, marine, and underwater disciplines.
- Lead project estimates/proposals, develops project work plans, schedules and submittals, coordinates with vendors and subcontractors, and leads project hand-off meetings with key operational staff.
Qualifications and Experience
- We are seeking professionals with at least three years of estimating experience, including having worked in heavy civil/marine construction.
- Candidates should also have a bachelor’s degree in construction management, construction engineering management, civil engineering, or related field.
- Heavy Bid experience is a plus, as is experience in estimating projects with values up to $50 million, working on Joint Venture pursuits, and working on Early Contractor Involvement (ECI) contract projects.
