A bit about us:

We are seeking a highly dynamic and passionate Structural Engineer to join our team and drive the success of our projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, planning, and overseeing the construction of new buildings and bridges, or alterations and extensions to existing properties or other structures. This role provides an exciting opportunity to be actively involved in all aspects of structural engineering, from initial concept design to on-site construction.

Job Details

Responsibilities:

1. Designing and implementing engineering plans, and managing complex structural engineering projects.
2. Conducting feasibility studies, site investigations, and environmental impact assessments to identify potential risks and design adaptations.
3. Using design software, such as AutoCAD, to create detailed structural designs and specifications.
4. Preparing reports, designs, and drawings and presenting them to clients and stakeholders.
5. Coordinating with architects, subcontractors, and construction teams to ensure that projects are completed on time and within budget.
6. Ensuring that all designs and projects comply with safety regulations, building codes, and environmental laws.
7. Conducting structural inspections and creating reports that identify structural damage or deterioration.
8. Providing technical advice to clients, architects, and other professionals in the construction industry.
9. Overseeing the repair and maintenance of existing structures, and ensuring that they remain safe and structurally sound.
10. Continuously updating knowledge and staying aware of the latest structural engineering trends and developments.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in Structural Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
2. A minimum of 5+ years of experience in structural engineering or a related field.
3. Proficiency in AutoCAD, and other engineering design software.
4. Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and legal regulations.
5. Sound mathematical and technical skills including physics.
6. Ability to think methodically, to design, plan and manage projects.
7. Solid understanding and knowledge of construction processes.
8. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
9. Exceptional communication and leadership skills.
10. A professional engineer (PE) license is preferred.
