Overview

Great outcomes start with great people and Armor has an exciting opportunity for a Certified Medication Aide to join our team at Cumberland County Jail in Portland, ME.

Responsibilities

  • Dispenses oral, inhalation, and topical medications to patients
  • Observes patients for drug reactions and reports any problems to Charge nurse
  • Monitors patient's vital signs, calculate medication dosages, and stocks the medication cart
  • Records what medications and dosages were given for the day
  • Performs routine procedures under established protocols including phlebotomy and electrocardiograms
  • Manages and maintains pharmacy stocks of medicine and medical supplies

Qualifications

  • Current state license as a Certified Nursing Assistant
  • Current Medication Aide Certification
  • Current CPR certificate
  • Proficient with electronic medical records
  • Ability to pass pre-employment Level 2 clearance to include background check and drug screen
