SUPERVISOR: Director of Creative Services

Posting Summary:

The Jr. Digital Designer is responsible for supporting the creative team in the creation of all digital media including web, social, and mobile graphics. They will be responsible for creating engaging designs and solutions for various projects. Effectively communicate and coordinate with design manager to ensure that the visual design communicates the desired message and adheres to brand standards. The candidate must be capable of taking direction and working in a fast-paced environment from concept to production.

Responsibilities:

· Assists in design and production of digital media. This includes web, social, and mobile assets, and campaigns.

· Understand project requirements and concepts.

· Collaborate with team members to launch projects and meet project timelines.

· Take on special design tasks (e.g. minor illustration / image retouching or manipulation)

· Continuously keeping an eye on competitors and industry trends.

· Communicate project status with Design Manager and Marketing team.

· Ability to present and communicate ideas.

· Ensure excellent solutions occur throughout the design phase.

· Ability to flex design focus from one collection to another depending on need and assignment.

· Ability to work cross-functionally, promoting positive work relationships with both internal and external customers.

· Ensure projects are completed with high quality and on schedule.

· Work with established guidelines specific to the brand's intended style and tone

Qualifications:

· BA or BFA in Advertising, Design or related degree OR equivalent combination of education, experience, and training which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities will be accepted.

· A minimum of 1 year of related experience (Internships Included).

· Proficient in Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, XD) and supporting Microsoft Suite Programs.

· Knowledge of the principles, practices, and objectives of Design such as layouts, graphic fundamentals, typography, print, UI/UX, composition, and color theory, proven by a strong portfolio

· Familiarity with design techniques and understanding of visual elements.

· A keen eye for detail

· Experience with digital and print marketing, content marketing, and social media marketing.

· Demonstrates successful design ideation, production skills, and the delivery of projects on time and within the given budget.

· Capacity to be self-motivated and achieve goals with minimal supervision or direction and switch between multiple complexities.

Preferred Qualifications:

· Email building within email platforms such as Bloomreach, MailChimp, or Constant Contact.
