We are offering competitive salaries and benefits, apply now to join our team!\n \n \n The Assistant Teacher I- Float will support the teachers who serve a varied population of students with typical and neuro-diverse abilities in the Integrated Early Learning Center. The incumbent assists with the implementation of the program as outlined and with adapting instruction that meets the individual academic, medical, developmental, and technological needs of the students.\n \n The salary range for the Assistant Teacher positions is between $17.41-$28.18 per hour. This is dependent on education and years of experience. \nResponsibilities\nAssist supervising teacher with the implementation of instruction and evaluation aspects of the classroom in accordance with students’ individualized plans using effective strategies for academic and behavioral success.\nComplete instructional-related duties as assigned by supervising teacher and administrators.\nProvide instruction, supervision, and classroom management under the direction of the supervising teacher.\nImplement behavioral protocols and assignments for students during instructional and non-instructional times.\nUtilize instructional and non-instructional time in a professional manner in keeping with administrative guidelines.\nParticipate in and contribute to in-service training and staff meetings.\nProvide support and leadership for curricular and extra-curricular activities that support student-life and promote a positive school experience.\nAssist with the implementation of technology in instructional design and delivery in accordance with supervising teacher’s directions.\nQualifications\n EDUCATION:\n Associate’s degree or completion of two years of college equivalence required.\n \n EXPERIENCE:\n\n A minimum of 3 years previous experience working in a classroom of students with disabilities is required.\n Experience with pediatric population preferred\n\n \n RELATED TRAINING:\n Must possess and maintain cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) certification.\nBenefits\n Kennedy Krieger Institute offers excellent benefits including medical, dental, vision, 401K with match, tuition reimbursement, student debt relief program, free parking and child care subsidies!
