Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Analyze and interpret blueprint, specifications or sample parts to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished work pieces, sequence of operations and setup requirements.
  2. Plan machine set ups, program necessary information into control system, position work piece and operate various CNC machine through production runs to form specified quantities of piece parts to specified tolerances. Deburr parts as needed.
  3. Monitor machine functions to ensure that parts are manufactured to defined specifications.
  4. Perform first piece inspections and make necessary adjustment to machine to ensure parts are machined to designated tolerances. Complete first piece inspection documents as required.
  5. Organize workload to maximize material flow process.
  6. Communicate with managers, engineers, production control, quality and other shop personnel for assignments and to resolve quality issues.
  7. Perform inspection, preventative maintenance and ensure machines are operating optimally.
  8. Detect equipment malfunctions or out of tolerance machining and adjusts machine, within capabilities, controls or control media as required to insure quality of production.
  9. Maintain a neat and orderly work area complying with all 5S initiatives.
  10. Follow and comply with all safety and personal protective equipment requirements.
  11. Ability to input and scan work order data into MRP/JDE system using RF scanner, keyboard and mouse.
  12. Follow all procedures and processes in accordance to in order to build a defect-free product. Complete required in-process inspection, repair any defects found and electronically process rejected parts in accordance with established procedure
  13. Perform other related duties as assigned.


Position Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required with at least 3 years related work experience in manufacturing required.
  • Formal CNC Machining education or equivalent CNC Machining experience is required.
  • Ability to use electrical pallet jack, electrical stand up truck and overhead crane preferred.
  • Be able to lift a maximum of 50 lbs.
