All while understanding that together we are even better.\n \n\n \n Schedule: Full-time, 36 hours per week\n \n\n \n Shift : Nights, 7:00 pm - 7:00 am (with rotating weekends)\n \n\n \n Location : 200 N Lakemont Ave, Winter Park, FL 32792\n \n\n \n Unit Highlights:\n \n\n \n\n\nThe AdventHealth Winter Park Medical PCU West is a 25 bed unit that delivers specialized nursing care for critically ill patients.\n \nWe are a unit that cares for a diverse range of critical disease processes including acute coronary syndromes, congestive heart failure, pneumonia, renal diseases and more. Every shift is different than the last which creates a constant learning environment.\n \nThere are daily Multi-Disciplinary Rounds between the nurse, charge nurse, physician, case manager, dietician and pharmacist to ensure that we provide efficient and safe care for our patients.\n \nOn Medical PCU we have a phenomenal team work ethic that encourages learning and positivity. Providing high level clinical care and creating an exceptional patient experience is our goal.\n \n\n \n\n\n The community you’ll be caring for:\n \n\n \n\n\nWinter Park Memorial Hospital has continuously served the residents of Winter Park and its surrounding communities for more than 50 years\n \nChartered in 1951, the hospital has grown from the visionary efforts of a handful of Winter Park residents and community leaders, to a 307-bed acute care facility that is a model of community health and wellness\n \nOver the years the hospital has continually expanded to meet the needs of the community, adding an upscale obstetrics and Level II Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at The Dr. P. Phillips Baby Place, cancer care at the AdventHealth Cancer Institute, Winter Park, and state-of-the-art surgery, recovery and rehabilitation at the AdventHealth Orthopaedic Institute\n \n\n \n\n\n The role you’ll contribute:\n \n\n \n The ANM is a registered professional nurse who supports the Nurse Manager or Director in overall operations of their assigned unit. Is able to demonstrate critical thinking skills, creativity, and has the knowledge to manage resources to achieve quality performance, positive employee relations, and compliance with hospital guidelines. The ANM is skilled in coaching, mentoring, and leading a professional and technical team in the delivery of services to our patient population. The ANM assures quality of care is delivered to our patients and demonstrates effective stewardship of scarce resources. Is supportive of change activities on their unit and works to assure implementation of change that may occur. Actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all.\n \n\n \n The value you’ll bring to the team:\n \n\n \n\n\n Lead the Employees – Has a working knowledge of performance expectations for all employees on the unit.\n \n Performance Improvement - Demonstrates familiarity with the performance improvement model of the organization.\n \n Business of Healthcare Delivery – Utilizes a working knowledge of health care economics and healthcare public policy as it applies to the delivery of patient care\n \n Relationships and Behaviors – Utilizes relationship in influencing behaviors on the unit\n \n Clinical Practice Knowledge – Is an expert in the clinical practice requirements of their unit.\n \n\n \n\n\n The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:\n \n\n \n Minimum qualifications :\n \n\n \n\n\nAssociate’s degree or Diploma in Nursing\n \nSpecific experience as delineated by the unit of employment\n \nCurrent valid State of Florida or multistate license as a Registered Nurse\n \nBasic Life Support (BLS) Certification\n \nAdvanced Life Support (ACLS) Certification\n \nEKG competency testing\n \n\n \n\n\n Preferred qualifications:\n \n\n \n\n\nBachelor’s degree of Nursing (BSN) or Master’s degree in Nursing (MSN)\n \nProfessional Certification\n \n\n \n\n\n This facility is an equal opportunity employer and complies with federal, state and local anti-discrimination laws, regulations and ordinances.
