Primary Function:
The IT Business Partner will play a pivotal role in defining technology solutions to align with the strategic goals of our organization. This role will act as a liaison between IT and our corporate, operations, sales, and engineering business units with particular focus on building relationships with senior leaders. They will also understand business processes, capabilities and technology products being used today, as well as build the roadmaps to align with the organization’s strategy and goals - both for today and into the future. The IT Business Partner will understand the unique challenges and opportunities within the organization and leverage technology to drive operational excellence, innovation, and growth.
Responsibilities:
- Forge relationships with key stakeholders in several business units to build out 3-year roadmaps with each group and act as the IT project leader for supporting departments.
- Plan important first-year operational goals, prioritize and build project plans, and work with development leadership to allocate resources that deliver timely projects.
- Lead cross functional teams in large scale systems related project implementations
- Work with business users to identify technologies that could benefit each business unit.
- Define process flows using value stream mapping ideology , building detailed requirements for hand off to systems analysts
- Assist with execution of approved projects working with IT developers and business systems analysts.
- Collaborate with IT business intelligence team and internal business units to implement effective reports that encompass the vision communicated by executive and leadership teams.
- Serve as the main point of contact for senior leadership
Requirements:
- 4-6 years of experience as an IT Business Partner, Product Manager, Project Manager, Business Process Analyst, IT Manager, or similar role.
- 4 years of process improvement experience supporting internal departments
- Demonstrated ability to collect, document, and progressively elaborate requirements using use-cases to develop general user requirements, detailed functional requirements, and system specifications.
- Experience working with all levels of the organization and comfortable presenting to large groups of people.
- Strong verbal and written professional communication skills
- Ability to forecast trends in technology and implement new solutions available in the marketplace.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, information systems, or related field is preferred
- Experience with a large-scale ERP system, Oracle EBS experience preferred.
- Experience with modern Business Intelligence platforms preferred
- Occasional travel required
