We show compassion, celebrate differences and treat one another with respect.\n\n Calling all Spring 2024 New Grads!\n Please apply to this position for all units at UKHS! \n Unit interest and shift availability will be discussed in detail with a recruiter\n \n Responsibilities\n\nThe Registered Nurse functions under the direction of the Nurse Director/Manager and is responsible for coordination of safe patient care delivery for specified and diverse patient populations.\nThe RN assesses patient/family needs, develops and prioritizes patient goals, evaluates care delivery, and continually revised the plan of care to meet the biological, emotional, psychosocial, spiritual, developmental, and educational needs of the patient/family. The RN Delegates care as appropriate to optimize patient outcomes.\nThe RN adheres to the Kansas Nurse Practice Act.\nCollects and analyzes patient health data through comprehensive assessment\nIdentifies and prioritizes patient/family biological, emotional, psychosocial, spiritual, developmental, and education needs\nDevelops and evaluates plan of care based on patient need priorities.\nCoordinates care delivery with other healthcare team members and departments to ensure safe, age appropriate, culturally aware care, and optimal outcomes.\nDemonstrates competence in service specific clinical skills and compliance with unit/department required duties.\nEngages and involves the patient/family in the care delivery process\nConducts medication reconciliation on admission, at transfer, and at discharge or as prescribed for outpatient setting.\nEnsures safe and quality care for patients through identification of patient specific risk factors (i.e. risk for falls, risk for skin breakdown, etc.)\n\n Qualifications\n Job Requirements:\n\nCurrent Kansas RN Licensure.\nCurrent BLS certification upon hire.\nTelemetry, ICU and PCU need ACLS and Post Surg needs Chemo. Completed within the first year of employment\n2-Year Degree\nSpecific Certifications are required within one year of hire\nBasic computer skills\n\n Preferred Job Requirements:\n\n4-Year Degree\nAt least one year recent experience in a similar healthcare setting.\nFamiliar with Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel).\n
