Job Description JOB SUMMARYThe Certified/Registered Respiratory Therapist provides quality therapeutic and diagnostic treatment to the patients under the direction of a physician; provides staff and family education; participates as part of a multidisciplinary team to provide an optimal continuity of care for our patients. This includes providing care for infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults and geriatrics based on knowledge of basic growth and development.JOB SPECIFICATIONSEducation and/or experience: Current Tennessee State Respiratory Care License with ABG endorsement, NBRC Credential as Certified Respiratory Therapist, BLS required/ACLS preferred. One to two years of clinical experience in Respiratory Care is preferred.Knowledge / Skills: Must possess necessary clinical skills to recognize the need to modify and adapt therapeutic and diagnostic procedures in accordance with the policy and procedures.Abilities: The ability to communicate and write clearly and logical decision-making in a patient care situation. Must possess the ability to interact with patients and staff professionally, evaluate and treat patients with cardiopulmonary dysfunction, and communicate well verbally and in writing.
