Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Environmental Sciences
  • 1 to 3 years’ experience in one the following Environmental Fields:
  • Air reporting & inspections
  • Water reporting & inspections, NPDES Permits and Storm Water Permits
  • Hazardous & Non-Hazardous Waste reporting, inspections and disposal
  • Universal Waste reporting, inspections and disposal
  • Spill Prevention Control & Countermeasure Plans (SPCC Plans)


Job Duties:

  • Do the following Environmental Reporting: Annual Tier II Reports for all locations, Annual Hazardous Waste Reports, Complete online monthly DMR's
  • Accompany EHS Manager on MDEQ & EPA inspections
  • Audit all Locations for Environmental Compliance (Storm water, SPCCC, Hazardous Waste, Universal Waste, Air
  • Perform or work with Consultants on IH Monitoring
  • Work with EHS Manager to develop an IH Sampling Plan
  • Track and Report All IH Finding
  • Work with Management to Implement Engineering Controls to Eliminate Hazards Where Possible
  • Work with EDL on all Sample Gathering
  • Coordinate Disposal of all Hazardous Waste, Non-Haz, BIO-Hazardous, Universal Waste, (Liquid or Solid)
  • Work with consultants to provide needed data for reporting
  • Work with Management to insure all items requiring permitting are covered
  • Auditing Environmental Permitting Compliance
  • Educating Management on Permit Requirements
  • Making sure all information required by environmental permits is being tracked and reported.
  • Attend necessary training on Environmental to further education.
  • Work to introduce green chemicals
  • Train employees on Environmental issues
