  • The OPEX Engineer will work with their BU's leaders to execute/facilitate improvement projects.
  • Lead continuous improvement projects through focused Kaizens and a hands on approach to achieve measured results and targeted hard savings. Conduct root cause analysis to eliminate waste, troubleshoot manufacturing and assembly issues, material flow, and informational inputs that may lead to inefficiencies.
  • Coach and train both hourly and salary employees on any specific related OPEX improvements.
  • Help support and develop a culture that promotes operational excellence and continuous improvements.
  • Must be able to effectively communicate the scope of projects and report to upper management with weekly status reports.
  • Coordinate, monitor, and drive project activities, manage project risks, issues, changes, and resources, and take corrective actions when necessary. Decides and initiate's action.
  • Provides the project team with a clear sense of direction, motivating and empowering them to initiate sustainable improvements to their current processes and work environments.
  • Build teamwork through engagement and aligns team members by tying to individual and collective goals.
  • Evaluate and close the project, identify, and analyze lessons learned, archive project documents, and hand over the project to customer and/or process owner.
  • Provide insights regarding quantitative and qualitative developments using periodical reports and/or analyses.

Requirements (education, experience, travel, physical, work environment):

  • Bachelor's degree, preference for Engineering, technical or finance-related degrees or 2-5 years' experience in Operations Passion for change and continuous improvement, must be self-motivated, have initiative, and have a positive attitude.
  • Able to train and impart knowledge to others and to learn quickly.
  • This is not a desk job. Individual must be hands' on and willing to work along side all employees.
  • Proven ability to plan and prioritize work through basic project management skills.
  • Demonstrated high-performance levels and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Teamwork skills and the capability to lead change
  • Able to work effectively across different organizational levels, from shop floor to BU management.
