Job Details

Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-level legal support to multiple attorneys, managing their calendars, and ensuring they are prepared for meetings, court appearances, and other commitments.
  • Conduct comprehensive legal research and analysis to support case preparation and legal proceedings.
  • Assist in trial preparation, including the coordination of witnesses, preparation of trial binders, and other related tasks.
  • Prepare and manage a wide range of legal documentation, including motions, briefs, contracts, and correspondence.
  • Maintain an organized and efficient file management system.
  • Liaise effectively and professionally with clients, court personnel, and other legal professionals.
  • Keep up-to-date with changes in municipal law and related areas of legal practice.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field.
  • A minimum of 2-4 years of experience as a Paralegal or Legal Assistant.
  • Demonstrated experience in municipal law.
  • Excellent writing skills, with an ability to prepare clear, concise, and effective legal documents.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with an ability to liaise effectively with a range of stakeholders.
  • Exceptional organizational skills, with an ability to manage multiple tasks, maintain attention to detail, and meet tight deadlines.
  • Proficiency in legal research and an ability to analyze and interpret complex legal information.
  • Experience in trial preparation and in managing legal documentation.
  • A commitment to maintaining confidentiality and to upholding the highest standards of professional ethics.
