Duties:• Complete required competencies for each unit assigned to work. • Implement standard of care practices for the treatment of patients admitted in MTU. • Meet and comply with the hospital policies and procedures. • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by conducting research; attending seminars, educational workshops, classes and conferences; review professional publications; establish networks; participate in professional societies; confer with representatives of contracting agencies and related organizations. • Maintain compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and ordinances including The Arizona Department of Health Division of Licensing Services (ADOH), Centers for Medicare/Medicaid Services (CMS) and The Joint Commission. • Establish, implement, and communicate goals, objectives, policies, and procedures in accordance with nursing plan and practice. • Collaborate to ensure proper provision of care to provide for physiological, psycho social environmental, educational and discharge planning needs of the patient are met. • Accurately document all patient care activities, changes in patients' condition, reassessments, and response to therapy, and pertinent communication with members of the health care team in patient's electronic health record. • Participate in a code blue for patients on the unit and in the Emergency Room Department (ER) and Outpatient Department (OPD), if needed. • Accurately administer blood/blood products, medication/medical treatment, monitors and document patient's condition and response to therapy in accordance with current standards of care and hospital policy. • Delegate assigned duties to the CNAs that are within the scope of their certification for them to adhere to the treatment regimen. • Ensure patients' needs are met • Provide and support activities regarding implementation or hospital policy on Patient's Rights and Responsibilities. • Translate diagnosis information into Navajo language or arrange for translation for patient • Maintain a clean and comfortable environment for the patient. • Provide educational materials and learning opportunities to the patient, family and/or significant other concerning diagnosis and recommended treatment. • Practice proper isolation techniques and maintain a clean safe working environment. • Please see Job Description for additional duties

Qualifications:Minimum Qualifications: • Associates of Science in Nursing, BSN preferred. • Two years of clinical experience preferred. • Valid unrestricted nursing license from the state of Arizona or another compact licensing state. • Valid American Heart Association certification of BLS, ACLS will be required within 45 days of hire. Proof of course enrollment will be required before start date and course fees will be reimbursed after satisfactory 90-day probation period. • Must be able to successfully pass the Employee Health Program requirements and background investigation.
