The Quantum Computing Initiative at The New School is seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic student to work as a Research Assistant. This position offers an exciting opportunity to assist in the creation, development, and execution of a range of research tasks for the Quantum Computing course and related initiatives under the Innovation Center.

This position is covered by a collective bargaining agreement between SENS-UAW, Local 7902 and the University.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist faculty in the preparation and execution of course materials for the Quantum Computing course.
  • Conduct individual sessions with the students in the course
  • Assist in the planning, development, and execution of research projects related to Quantum Computing, including data collection, data analysis, and interpretation of results.
  • Assist with the Quantum Computing Design Jam and related events
  • Assist in the creation and maintenance of project documentation and reports.
  • Present research findings in team meetings and potentially at academic conferences or publications.
  • Provide general administrative support as needed.
