RF Passive Circuit Design Designer, Senior

Job Description:

This is a design engineering role for an RF Passive circuit designer. The individual will be responsible for creating designs and leading efforts in passive circuit conceptualization, prototyping, fabrication, integration and testing. The candidate will also be responsible for analyzing customer requirements and constraints. The individual will work with both internal and external partners and organizations to achieve devices relevant to our customers needs.

Responsibilities:

  • Define new products through feasibility analyses and technical competitive analysis
  • Create RF passive circuits using variety of design techniques relevant to the needs of our customers; perform EM analysis using available tools and provide final device layout to support photomask creation.
  • Participating and conducting design reviews and support relevant documentation of design.
  • Work closely with device engineering; create tests structures required for understanding/advancement of designs.
  • Work with characterization and test engineering to come up with test plans and fully evaluate and analyze your devices using latest RF test equipment.
  • Work product engineering teams to generate data sheets and customer samples.

Qualifications:

  • MS in Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, Physics, Engineering with 3 years or PhD (preferred) with emphasis in RF and EM background
  • RF circuit design, EM simulation (HFSS or equivalent); layout design experience, valuation board design
  • RF device characterization;
  • Experience with Process Design Kits in ADS or MWO
  • Good understanding of fabrication methods and volume manufacturing desired.
  • Programming skills in script language (and Matlab) preferred but not necessarily required.
