SUMMARY: Perform aircraft electrical engineering design, analysis, substantiation, certification, drawing interpretation and collaborate with project management team.
SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Design and analyze electrical systems and components, in support of transport category aircraft interior modifications and avionics upgrades (FAA/EASA STC projects).
- Prepare electrical engineering drawings and reports including wire harness installation, fabrication, wire routing and electrical system schematics.
- Develop cabin electrical modification/installation work instructions and procedures.
- Participate in customer design reviews and presentations.
- Coordinate and monitor electrical aspects of project schedule with Project Managers.
- Troubleshoot aircraft electrical issues during installation.
- Travel both nationally and internationally (5-10%)
- All other duties as assigned
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- BS Degree in Engineering (Electrical, Aerospace or Mechanical preferred) or experience and training in their respective area of expertise to be determined equivalent.
- Knowledge of aircraft electrical systems and wiring diagrams a plus.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, preferably those created by Boeing, Airbus and other aircraft manufacturers.
- Ability and experience to create engineering details, assemblies, and installation drawings using AutoCAD or similar software programs. #LI-LL1
