SUMMARY: Perform aircraft electrical engineering design, analysis, substantiation, certification, drawing interpretation and collaborate with project management team.

SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Design and analyze electrical systems and components, in support of transport category aircraft interior modifications and avionics upgrades (FAA/EASA STC projects).
  • Prepare electrical engineering drawings and reports including wire harness installation, fabrication, wire routing and electrical system schematics.
  • Develop cabin electrical modification/installation work instructions and procedures.
  • Participate in customer design reviews and presentations.
  • Coordinate and monitor electrical aspects of project schedule with Project Managers.
  • Troubleshoot aircraft electrical issues during installation.
  • Travel both nationally and internationally (5-10%)
  • All other duties as assigned

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • BS Degree in Engineering (Electrical, Aerospace or Mechanical preferred) or experience and training in their respective area of expertise to be determined equivalent.
  • Knowledge of aircraft electrical systems and wiring diagrams a plus.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, preferably those created by Boeing, Airbus and other aircraft manufacturers.
  • Ability and experience to create engineering details, assemblies, and installation drawings using AutoCAD or similar software programs. #LI-LL1
