We consider a number of factors when making individual compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience and training, and other business needs.  This role may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary incentive program, subject to the rule governing the program.  Position Summary: The Bilingual (Spanish) Benefits Specialist serves as a resource for employee and local human resources personnel for all benefit programs; day to day administration of benefit plans and programs; liaison with vendors for problem resolution; responsible for data management and file transmissions. Position Responsibilities may include, but not limited to: Administer complex and varying insurance benefit programs and wellness programsEnsure confidentiality while maintaining employee benefits files and updating employee payroll recordsRespond to high volume of inbound calls and emails from employees and local HR representatives, as well as complete any benefit changes and ensure all required documentation is receivedWork with TPAs and vendors to resolve difficult or sensitive insurance problems and documentation thereofOrganize and communicate annual enrollment changes and deadlinesDocument and maintain a system of procedures to administer benefitsAssist with preparation of benefits communications, surveys and informational materialsConduct employee benefits presentations and trainingData file management, including transfer between HRIS systems and vendorsInvestigate and process questions and information on data file error reports from vendorsAssist with development of benefits communications, including those that are federally mandatedOther projects or duties as assigned Required Skills and Experience: Bachelor’s Degree with 3+ years of experience in Human Resources or equivalent employee benefits experience or HS Diploma with 6+ years of experience in Human Resources or equivalent employee benefits experienceStrong customer service and effective communications skills (verbal, written, interpersonal)Ability to maintain effective working relationshipsWilling to travel up to 20%Proficient experience with HR Information SystemsKnowledge of state and federal laws, statutes, and mandates regarding employee benefitsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsProficient in Microsoft OfficeThis position must pass a post-offer background and drug test Preferred Skills and Experience: Two or more years of recent experience in benefits administrationPrior experience in Corporate HR or TPA settingBilingual (Spanish). The ability to read, write and speak Spanish is highly preferred.Master’s Degree Physical Demands and Work Environment: Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
