Responsibilities You'll Have
- Network with other real estate professionals to market your home listings
- Stay updated and informed on the local real estate market
- Communicate effectively with all clients on a regular basis
- Represent your clients during real estate negotiations and transactions
- Show a desire to forge connections and build trust with individuals
- Prepare documents such as representation contracts, purchase agreements, closing statements, deeds and leases
Core Competencies You'll Need
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Knowledge of real estate laws and regulations
- Ability to negotiate and close deals
- Experience in customer service and sales
- Proficiency in software such as Microsoft Office Suite

Success as a Real Estate Agent will be determined by your ability to establish relationships with clients and help them achieve their goals. You will be successful if you are able to build a strong reputation as a knowledgeable and reliable real estate professional and close deals that are mutually beneficial to both your clients and yourself.

If you find yourself uncomfortable with the idea of networking, communicating with clients, and working independently, then you may not be well suited to a career in real estate. Real Estate Agents need to be comfortable with talking to prospective clients and being able to think on their feet in order to provide the best service possible.
