Maintenance Mechanic
- 1st and 2nd Shift
The Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for performing maintenance tasks such as daily pm inspections, routine repairs, and general maintenance. They are also responsible for applying basic fixes to equipment and building systems to ensure facilities are functional and well maintained.
Responsibilities
*Conduct routine inspections of premises and equipment.
*Perform preventative maintenance.
*Handle basic repairs and maintenance.
*Oversee contractors when professional repairs are necessary.
*Diagnose mechanical issues and correcting them.
*Repair machines, equipment, or structures as necessary.
*Install equipment and machinery.
*Property management including grounds maintenance, snow removal, etc.
*Observe and test system operation, using gauges and instruments.
*Adjust valves according to specifications and charge system with proper type of refrigerant by pumping the specified gas or fluid into the system.
*Dismantle malfunctioning systems and test components, using electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic testing equipment.
*Adjust or replace worn or defective mechanisms and parts and reassemble repaired systems.
*Braze or solder parts to repair defective joints and leaks.
*Perform mechanical overhauls and refrigerant reclaiming.
*Keep records of repairs and replacements made and causes of malfunctions.
*Install wiring to connect components to an electric power source.
*Estimate, order, pick up, deliver, and install materials and supplies needed to maintain equipment in good working condition.
*Cut, bend, thread, and connect pipe to functional components and water, power, or refrigeration system.
3+ years of experience performing maintenance in industrial and commercial environments
Hands
-on knowledge of basic mechanical, electrical, and carpentry work.
HVAC experience a plus
STS2
