"Work fast and diligent or you won't be there for long. They need people that keep a fast pace and if you can't do that you won't last."

"I like the company as a whole and what they stand for. They have amazing opportunities for employee growth."

"You will be dissapointed and will soon be on the job hunt again so do yourself a favor and skip this one."

What don't you like about working at JC Penney?

"The paper work is just crazy. When you first get hired they will promise you that they are currently working on getting laptops for the decorators to cut down on the paperwork, but I started with them in 2007 and almost 4 years later they are still stringing poor hopeful decorators along with that lie. They claim that they are trying to work out the kinks in the software but many companies have much more complicated software needs than they do and somehow they figured it out. It's just insultating the inteligence of the decorators to constantly lie to them like that. Also the job security id so good because they have such a hard time keeping up with the number of decorators quitting that they won't dare fire you."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"I would suggest that they be honest with new hires about what to expect with this job."

"Be aware that you will have to be available to move anywhere in the United States within a week to advance with a job."

"Work with your Associates to ensure that you do not get them into a position to fail due to being so far out of their element."

"Dress your best! Even the secretaries wear 3 piece suits. Looks will get you the job."

"The hours they gave me did not work very well for me. Good time though."

"The hours and lack of communication between management and associates. No loyalty and honesty enforced among co-workers."

"Pay was low, late hours required every week. Required to work during holidays, minimal time off (vacation)."
