"I have worked with JB Hunt for 9 years. I have seen a lot of change. The company is currently operating well and has paid out bonus many times this year. This is the first we have seen a company wide bonus in a few years."
"Horrible management and worse company ever worked. They have favorites in the team and don't take any action even if they make any number of mistakes and micromanagement on the others in the team until they fire those members. People with the age 25+ are managers here and they do not know how to handle the things properly, what they think is correct and no matter how you try to convey them the practical truth information, never in an understandable mindset. There is no industry best standards and practices they follow and many worse things to mention which never can be seen elsewhere - They have a concept called Shield person for Production support through out the week/month dedicated to the work and the horrible thing is getting hundreds of production issues in any given month and the developers and the shield person has to update each and every issue manually either on UI or in the database, instead the management never insisted to focus and make permanent fixes not to happen again, the same production issues are repeating over and again for years and never take an action with a permanent fix. Next, the company do not know how to do production deployments, they do on Friday nights starting 8 PM and it takes ever with a lot of issues and worse way of handling the deployments. Don't understand what the Business persons are responsible in the team, developers have to know the requirements and then development, they have to do the QA testing, they have to give the Sign-Off for the production deployment, eventually they have to do everything end to end, still not sure what BA people in the team are responsible for and there is no QA person for the teams. They fire their employees with no valid and strong reason (there are so many silly reasons to mention), which shows the poor management skills (they should have trained better), they terminate their employees all of a sudden without any notice, talk rude and take away all accesses the very next minute."
"A great place to learn and grow!"
"I'v worked for J.B. Hunt for 4 years. The company is one of the best trucking companies in the country, I have found that you can move up but only if you know someone, working hard just doesn't cut it. But the culture is good and the way they treat their employees is amazing."
"I've worked for J.B. Hunt Transport Engineering and Technology for almost 3 years in an IT leadership position. The company's recent growth and investment in information technology to build out its J.B. Hunt 360 Marketplace platform has made it an exciting and dynamic place to work. I would recommend working here."
"I have worked with JBHunt Since 2018. Great Learning Experience and Great atmosphere. Ability to undertake more responsibility within my role."
"JB Hunt has a good work life balance. However, despite the size of the company, it is very difficult to advance your career. It is a lot of "buddy-buddy" situations, if you will. The pay is horrible for the amount of work you do."
"Run, Amber Moore and Ariel Teague are unstable employees there who have spent the last three years stalking and cyber bullying me over a lawsuit I won for this reason. They are still employed at JB Hunt while still demanding people stalk take photos, videos and yell and attack me. Claiming I am a mean bully who tried to destroy there lives. Truth they Lied and tried to destroy mine I have emails to prove it with the law suit I won."
"While with J. B Hunt, I have designed and written multiple systems. This not only included writing CICS and Batch COBOL programs but designing the programs and building the data modeling."
"Pros: Great company, very profitable, tons of opportunity for advancement for those who bloom in their work. Cons: Poor work life balance, high pressure, high stress environment."
"Been here for a while. To me other teams care more about promoting from within. My team does not."
"Although it is a company very strict with its rules, I learned it maintains its consistency in order to protect its drivers. If you want to be professional and safe, I recommend JB Hunt 100%."
