"Janus International was acquired by investors five days after I had began working there. The controller and human resources director had been fired for embezzlement directly before I arrived. The senior staff accountant was moved into the assistant controller position and went out on maternity leave in February after I began. I was the only degreed accountant and the company was going through a due diligence audit, an audit by the new investors and and audit by the prior CPA firm."
