"Being able to devise new approaches to environments, going beyond the average systems design.The downside of IT Architecture is that as a new profession it is constantly misunderstood with IT specialists. Once most of the market understand IT architects as a Senior Plus professional on something, once they usually requires the Architect to be specialist on several particular pre-determined technologies, which undermines the architectural work from the beginning."
