"The company was struggling and had dis-continuity in its senior leadership which crippled long range planning."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"The storage media was too expensive relative to the competition which limited market acceptance of the products. The price was artificially high in order to allow the drives to be sold cheaply. The plan did not work and was never changed."

"Iomega is a hardware and storage media company first and a software company second. They also seem to be more interested in marketing to big business (replacing tape storage, etc) and less interested in the home commercial market."

What don't you like about working at Iomega?

"They laid off the entire Nacogdoches office. For months we could see it coming but there was nothing anyone could do about it."

"Be truthful to employees about the financial burdens of the company. Don't be afraid to tell employees to begin looking for new jobs if lay offs are likely."
