"fear of another acquisition - EMC then relocation - fear of loss of position due to established SF in place"

"not much - going throug some good growing pains. Graet sucess here"

"I was able to perform my job with no micromanaging with 100% faith from the coroporate in my ability to perform my job at top levels."

"Do not give feed back or stand up for yourself. They want workers not input."

"Corporate office official severly miscast in job roles with little to no experience in the oil & gas Industry."

"Go to management classes to learn how to boost morale to achieve highest leve of productivity to be successful in the Oil and gas Industry. Educate the President of the company in the Oil and Gas Industry."

What do you like about working at Foley Carrier Services?
"Pleasant location; cafe downstairs for breakfast and lunch; free and proximate parking; nice building on the busline and convenient for the many employees, especially from East Hartford, who do not have transportation"
Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?
"If you are considering working in sales, beware: your future earnings are eroded by more than 50% due to cancels and non-payments. There is no cut-off date for commission reversals. Women beware: misogyny is the general tone of sales management. The sales department suffers from much higher attrition percentages than similar positions at other companies and sales professionals can earn considerably more elsewhere. Other departments chronically do not communicate the same information to customers as does the sales staff, leading to customer and sales staff confusion and frustration, diminished credibility and lost sales. And, this is in an environment where Foley tries to own the new carrier marketplace. For a clearer appreciation of the impact Foley has in its marketplace, read customers' reviews online. Then ask yourself; since much of what Foley is selling is a mandated purchase by DOT, why are so many customers, former customers and portential customers so upset with this companyThe mandatory new-hire urine test is conducted off the lobby by a Foley employee."
What don't you like about working at Foley Carrier Services?
"Senior management's annual plan excludes critical components to successfully forecast anticipated growth - amateurish. The Website for Foley Carrier is very light on content, burdened by too many add-ons, difficult to navigate, on certain landing pages will not load and competes directly with the inside sales department. Middle management and HR personnel regularly ignore labor laws. You could be hired for one job (and you accept the job offer thinking that's the job you'll be doing) only to discover that you're in another position. Management at all levels is loose-lipped; they volunteered that a former salesperson left to serve time in jail. HR recordkeeping at the Glastonbury, CT Foley Carrier Services location is disorganized, HR staff people are marginalized, and the corporate office in MA is not responsive."

"I cannot help this group. Parent company BirdDog needs to clean house."

What do you like about working at The News Tribune?
"I loved the co-workers, management and opportunities to learn while using my background. This was a great position to start in sales as my manager at the time was fantastic and really taught me to push myself and to believe in my abilities."

"I think that this is a great group of people to work with. As long as you are willing to do the work, challenge yourself, and be an active team player you will succeed."

"There was a lot of upper management changes while I was there."

"Keep offering more sales tools to your employees as encourage them to exceed their expectations."

"My immediate coworkers are great. Once you get to corporate level it's a bunch of politics and drama."

"Look elsewhere!!!! Pay is low, stress is high, and you will be working in multiple positions."

"Not much, just the friendships I built at the immediate level in my branch."

"Corporate management should stop all the micro managing and let each branch manager run the business."

"My only advise is to learn from every person in the department and don't turn down help or gaining knowledge from a fellow colleague."

"The company keeps every department very lean and there is very little room to grow."

"I think the only suggestion I have for management is communicating more with new hires."

"A great group of people who are excited about a start-up company and the idea behind it. Everyone wants to make it work and is trying their best to make things happen"

"Don't believe all of the hype that they promise in the interview - a lot of it will not come true. There is a lot of promise with this company but they are definitely a start-up and have a LOT of kinks to work out."
What don't you like about working at SweetJack?
"Things change from one minute to the next, and it's getting to the point where I don't believe what management tells me. They have promised several things that did not happen or turned out to not be true and it's beginning to look like a pattern."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"They are trying to do too much too soon. I would focus more on making sure that the current employees are well-trained and that I was taking the time to make sure that the sales plan was executed properly. It doesn't do us any good to have explosive growth if we can't support it."

"The idea behind the company is very valid and the company will be very successful one day. They have a lot of enthusiastic people working for them and the staff are doing their best to make the company #1"

"The interview process isn't hard, but take what they say with a grain of salt - it will all change tomorrow."
What don't you like about working at SweetJack?
"It's a start up company, so there are a lot of kinks that need to be worked out - when markets are being launched, how markets are assigned to sales reps, how deals pass the vetting process, etc. The pay scale is also VERY low and not what was described in the interview"
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Stop hiring so many people and work with the staff that you already have - slow down the growth to a manageable level. Right now you are trying to do too much too fast."

"The people are great and very nice to work with."

"Smile and be as polite and energetic as possible. Dress appropriately and do not wear a cap or t-shirt to the interview."

"They do not have a clear plan for the future and have no advancement opportunities."

"I would tell them to begin setting up procedures for each work process so that everyone is on the same page. I would say this is needed to become more efficient and organized."

"The people I worked with made it bearable. Ping Pong breaks were the best."

"Make sure you ask tons of questions to the person you will be shadowing. The job may not be for you."

"Sitting at a desk all day. Key performance indicators were flawed."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Make a bigger leap to changing the noticeably flawed KPI and other systems."
What do you like about working at Precor?
"The first two and a half years was great! the Customer Service Dept is filled with alot of wondefull people."

"Move anywhere in the company you want/can. But do not go into the inside sales dept. There are alot of clicks. some good, some not so much, be cautious."
What don't you like about working at Precor?
"The Inside Sales Dept is referred to around the company as, The Dark side. I thought people were just being petty. Looking back, I wish I would have taken it as a warning befor taking a promotion into that Dreadfull Dept!"
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Raise the salary, Hire more employees, Listen to employees- both good and bad criticisms, I would try to impliment the employee's good Ideas to improving their jobs."

"I liked that there was room for growth and they gave you the tools to achieve that growth."

"It would be to make sure that you know that you're going to be working bad hours and taking more than just sales calls."
What don't you like about working at Comcast?
"I didn't like that I had to take many calls that were not sales oriented and was not given the tools to handle those calls properly. I also did not like my hours of work."

"It would be to give the sales rep more authority to handle trouble calls if you're going to make us take those calls."

"Make sure you like social media and anything online related"

"My personal growth is slow and limited. Although I am by far the most productive member of the sales team and have taken the initiative on multiple fronts, I have not been thoroughly recognized and growth is slow."

"In regards to my team, learn how to delegate, reward people that do well, hold people accountable that do poorly"

"This was my starting point in telecommunications and the company was new. Everyone tried to work together"

"Management was to much involved with everything. Micro-management cost them good people"

"It's a good company but for a company that has been in business for 30+ years there is startup mentality there."

"Turnover rate is high; make decisions before thinking things through, financially instable due to large debt."

"They need to focus on direction of the company better and align resources towards that focus."
