What do you like about working at Ingram Micro?
"The training and experience gained while there. The people you worked with were great. Work/Life balance was good. Vendor perks."
Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?
"If you can afford to work there, it's a great place to gain knowledge in the IT industry. But beware that job security no longer exists there at all."
What don't you like about working at Ingram Micro?
"Pay/compensation kept getting worse every year. Bonuses and commissions were almost non-existent for the sales department, which made it very hard to earn a decent living wage any more. Very low pay for the amount of stress endured. Healthcare plan is terrible and keeps getting worse every year! Promotional path within sales department is no longer there so there is basically no incentive. Unless you are a manger's pet, your work accomplishments will never get noticed. The company tends to way overpay management (middle and upper) and it seemed that every time the sales department was restructured, the sales people always took the hit in pay hardest and management was hardly effected, if any. Such an unbalance. Job security is a very big factor now. It shows in the morale of most departments. The company continues to outsource in all areas and wonders why customers constantly complain about their service. (No relationships any more.) They have lost a great deal of talented and knowledgeable people over the years and keep replacing with younger, inexperienced people that for the most part do not take their job seriously and have no clue how to establish a relationship with businesses. Company just got too greedy and unfortunately the employees are suffering for it."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Respect and fairly compensate your employees, and try to hold on to your best talent before it's completely gone. Outsourcing cheap labor is not the answer to saving this company! This company was at the TOP once and it was not due to any practices that are going on now."
"Good company great team, only issue is growth within as leadership changes"
"Ingram Micro is a nice company to work for."
"I have worked at Ingram Micro for almost 6 years and as a global leader they are a great company to work for. I have an excellent relationship with my current supervisor and the entire purchasing team works well together. The fast paced environment is always a challenge, In my current position however I am very limited in my growth. Recent OPEX cuts have removed possible opportunities and advancement. My annual compensation increases are marginal due to longevity in the position."
What do you like about working at Ingram Micro?
"It was close to home and was a good environment."
Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?
"Be yourself, ask questions of what the company profile is, inform."
What don't you like about working at Ingram Micro?
"There were never good leaders at all, sometimes feel like you're alone with no back-up."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Less political, more leader. Let people make decisions by their own."
"good company to work with."
"The company is too unstable. It would be more appealing if it was stable, but unfortunately it is now unstable and underpays employees - except for the executives."
"I believe the company has lost sight of the number one asset, which is the employee."
"I am currently working at Ingram Micro as a Cloud Marketing Intern. The business is very large, however the structure of the intern program is very stagnated. Many of the supervisors were prepared to have interns, but there were few that were not."
