For one, I like being challenged in my work, and finding solutions is personally satisfying to me. I also like learning new things, and staying in a learning mentality. IT gives me this opportunity by presenting constant, new scenarios to deal with and resolve."

"I love how many different aspects of technology in which I am able to have a hand. Everything from high-level infrastructure decisions to organizing and becoming familiar with hardware really help to make a well rounded IT beginning professional. That being said, it would be nice to be able to have one specific task that supports the overall goal of the company. Then, to be able train, concentrate, and become really good at what you do seems appealing."

"The location in Pier 1. People are friendly. You get to interact with a lot of people. You are given a lot of responsibility."
Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?
"Make sure you brushed up your SQL skills. They are essential."
What don't you like about working at Port of San Francisco?
"Every person had his/her own cubicle. So, although I got to communicate with others as much as I wanted, I would have preferred an open space where you can see the people around you and interact with them."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"I think I had very good managers. Very patient, hard-working, with strong work ethic. I don't think I have any suggestion to give them other than tear down the cubicles!"
