It would be easier for providers that are taking care of family members if there were more resources to help the recipients get into other programs in stanislaus county. My recipient is facing problems with incompetence. There just doesnt seem to be anything that the county can do for him. I am left trying to meet his needs without the help from the county.
I have worked for in home Supportive Services now for the last 15 years off and on, because I'm on call when needed for a new client. The seniors that I have taken care of for their time of life are very appreciative. I'm always asked, what do I do that they always ask for me? I just try to make them feel the way that I would like to be treated. Because one day I will be old too, and would like to be taken care of in the same way.
It is a very good company. I enjoy working here. I cook breakfast, lunch and dinner, organize the room, fix the bed, a light cleaning, and dusting. I take my client to doctors appointments, pick up their medicines, organize the pills and remind my clients their medicine time. I also do laundry and organize the clothes.
