"Management is idiotic and doesn't actually know how to manage people. Suggestions to make the work more efficient and useful are often tossed to the side and there is a lot of backstabbing and self-preservation going on."

"I would bring in a consultant to weed out the dead weight and make the company more efficient and productive."

"Great bunch of smart and non-pretentious people. The breadth of research areas allows you to strike interesting conversation on subjects which otherwise one may not get a chance to learn about."

"Though I applied to the energy team I had a case interview heavily focused on Macro-economic and fiscal policy. Good managers seem to like people with broad knowledge who are able to investigate issues by cross leveraging multiple disciplines."

"Growth has been driven through acquisition rather than organic research. Upper management is becoming more focused on integrating new companies than growing current employees"

"Break the stove pipes within the company. Moreover, if you want to grow through acquisitions, then ensure that employees can access all IHS' research through a unified and user-friendly platform."
