"idX is a fast paced organization where the offerings to the customers change quickly. Because of the pace and potentially short product life it is difficult to establish SOPs in the manufacturing areas. Manufacturing instructions generally come from engineering prints that do not provide details about order in which to start building product. People are very friendly and the organization tries to do a lot to show value to their employees. Most employees are very open to providing assistance and are wanting to ensure they are building a good product. Management staff is a good group of individuals, but they struggle with how to change the business. Frustration often arise due to: lack of inventory control, extremely short time lines for product development to customer delivery and scheduling problems. GM is very transparent with organization, but not always accessible. GM needs to restructure organization as he has too many direct reports. GM could use support in manufacturing as his background is in sales and product management."
