"Have a 3-5 year plan of what you goals and career opportunities are or will likely be, and decide if IBM is for the long haul or just for the experience you can get."

What don't you like about working at IBM?

"No room for growth; too many boys club."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Distributed management across the board. Get rid of the clicks and allow room for people to grow professionally by placing diverse people on projects not the usual suspects."

"If you're a son or a daughter with a father in the company - you're a shoe-in."

What don't you like about working at IBM?

"Bureaucracy, lack of direction and focus on product lines and software applications. Lack of consistency. Constant urgent items, that were to be taken care of in the project plans, however the projects were released before complete."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"New management processes are needed. Projects cannot be completed on a hyphenated time line when having to fix most of the outsourced code."
