"It was a great company to work for."
What do you like about working at Hussey Copper?
"I enjoy working in any metals industry, and Hussey was a market leading manufacturer of electrical bus bar. I enjoyed the challenge of working with and motivating a small inside sales team through a very difficult time. I also learned about a new mainframe operating system and took the departmental lead in implementing an upgrade to this system. This company helped me to expand my knowledge and expertise of copper and electrical components."
Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?
"Since new ownership is in place, I have no ideas to pass along to others."
What don't you like about working at Hussey Copper?
"During my time at Hussey Fabricated Products the company was going through a very difficult period financially, so our efforts were focused on maintaining our customer base and juggling inventories and production schedules to keep our customers supplied. I didn't have an opportunity to grow the business further or to develop ideas I had for new products."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Since Hussey Fabricated Products is no longer operating as the company I worked for, I can't offer any thoughts to the new ownership. I have passed along new product ideas, production change ideas and market information to a technical person since I left."
