I became a digital nomad; a hunter and gatherer for startups. I was “Media" at tech conferences, gaining access to databases of investors and bloggers, then hustled my way into the SoundCloud HQ in Berlin, pitching my Music Discovery App. When persistent and resourceful enough, there's always a way in. I’m currently solidifying relationships with with local funds (Real, iNovia, Portag3, Panache, Innostart, Bases.ai, Diagram etc.) but also gained access to Y Combinator Demo Days, along with international VC firms in USA and Europe. In Canada’s epicentre for entrepreneurial innovation and creativity, there is a breeding ground for novel ideas. I believe as commodities are optimized through automation, the value of human capital increases, making what it takes to design experiences matter most. I want to be part of a team where culture is core and everyone has complimentary skills yet share the same mission of shaping a future to be proud of.
