Hudson's Bay Employee

"I worked at HBC for 4 years when the company decided to restructure yet again and eliminated my position... blessing in disguise. The location where I worked was good, the store manager was great and the people I directly worked with were great, those are the only good things I have to say. This company does not care about its employees at all. While retail doesn't offer the best wages in general, this was the worst I have seen. What is asked of sales associates and what they get paid do not add up. They will get rid of long service associates without hesitation and would rather save money by employing rookies and pay them the minimum rather than employing quality. The systems are outdated and a lot of stores look like they are stuck in the 80's. I wouldn't recommend working at this company to anyone."

"I have worked for the company for a few years, work is steady, but the environment isn't the greatest. Team spirit is rather poor and lack luster. Company demands many tasks to be done but pays quite poorly."
