"My co-workers were nice people. The working environment was adequate."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"Know exactly your role and job description. Keep an eye on who else is doing the same role and make sure your resume is up-to-date."

What don't you like about working at Holiday Retirement Corp.?

"No support, guidance or budget. Hired me to do a job that is already being done by another group. Later hired executive to take over my role. Company does not have a clue how to organize its workforce. I should have sued this company for wasting my time and putting a black mark on my resume. The management group composes of cold arrogant people."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Do not hire people and not support them to succeed. You basically hired an army of people from various locations in the US and terminated them because your preference of company direction changed. Ohh well...sorry guys but you're out on the streets. Your company values are just words written on paper and are optional."

HRIS Manager at NetApp
in Sunnyvale, CA

Please give us a one liner to describe this review.

"Productivity improvements needed."

What do you like about working at NetApp?

"It's cool to work for a company that's consistently in the top 20 Fortune Companies to work for. They hired good people, with strong skill sets and were enjoyable to work with."

What don't you like about working at NetApp?

"Process, process, process. It was very difficult to get work done on a day to day. Their internal tools for managers and employees were not well integrated. There are so many different tools, it was hard to know which one to use for what process. A large number of IT and business analysts are required just to keep the lights on."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Develop a strategic plan regarding business process design and system integration. Cost saving would be huge, if processes and interfaces were more seamless and the number disparate systems were reduced. Be willing to invest on such projects. It's not as if those conversations don't occur but when it comes to making the investment, that's where the company falls short."
