"I have worked, in H&R Block from 2018-2020. I grow as Professional. Serving the client with income tax return for 2 years in a row. Having multiple offices around PR, with great coworkers with a great atmosphere, who I learned incredibly."

"Do not work for this company. You will be expected to work many hours during tax season and for minimum wage. They will dangle a bonus in front of you, which you possibly will earn if you can meet the impossibly inhumane tasks assigned to you. I worked here for several years and every year I'd just meet my expectations only to return the next tax season to find them increased dramatically. To make matters even worse, my office manager was stealing my established clients, a fact I was not even aware of until late in the tax season. Needless to say, I was completely heartbroken by my treatment and the supposed camaraderie of the company."

"Client (internal and external) interaction is the best part of the job. Also, learning the ins and outs of the current tax laws is fascinating."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"Be sure to obtain all the information you can prior to accepting a position. Employees finding themselves disgruntled in the middle of the tax season do not service our clients well."

What don't you like about working at H&R Block?

"The compensation provided for tax preparation is low. Given my experience and education, it should be much higher."

"As a part-time seasonal employee, I have little to no input regarding management decisions. Empowerment goes a long way towards job satisfaction."

"The H&R Block work schedule is based on your commitment selected on you contract, more hours requires more commitment time."

"Management is always working to create a better environment, but there is not enough of a group effort involved."
