"The pay at HP is commensurateof the work done, I had many different jobs while working at HP. Some had our team bring pillows to work so we could take 'cat naps' while installing major upgrades over the weekend. While the last few years we weren't technically 'on-call', we were willing to work if available when middle of the night escalations occurred. The IT world can be a strange beast, when one week you work 80 hours and the next week you can leave Friday early to compensate."

"Underpaid - greatly. Let's put it this way: with proper incentive, there might be far more improvement in process and control. The motivation to make improvements is at such a low level, as if to not be there... at all."

"Underpaid for sure. The kind of work I have to do currently requires multiple skills including the ones that I am not particularly an expert and have to learn as I move forward. Along with day to day work, I also have to look at a few customer escalations and interface with customers directly and diagnose issues on production setups."

"HP seems to pay fairly when compared to the market. However, bonus structures seem to be reserved for the upper echelons far more than those on the front line. Additionally, we cannot rely upon annual pay increases as evident during the past 5 years."
