Human Resources Assistant
in Coconut Creek, FL

"The company is changing toward its associates, and not for the better."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"Only apply if you need a quick job in between other jobs. This is not a place to grow within; however, it is possible. Once you move up the ladder, however, you will work grueling 50-60 hour work weeks for little pay at all different times of the day. This company cares very little about your personal life or your well-being. They think they own you and expect you to be there whenever they want, even if they don't give you any notice."

What don't you like about working at Home Depot?

"The company is not treating employees fairly. Management is hostile toward employees. You cannot trust HR with any problems. The company does not balance work/home life. It is not a good place to work anymore."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"I would suggest complete retraining. Management is hostile toward employees. The company has taken an extreme attitude toward everything, i.e., make it happen, no ifs ands or buts. The company does not examine why things or processes fail. It just takes an extreme do-it-or-else approach. The company worries about everything except for actually doing business."
