"Expect to work really hard with little recognition and compensation. While management may not recognize the work you do, coworkers respect those who step up and do tasks without making others do it for them."

What don't you like about working at Home Depot?

"Management naturally has high expectations, and when goals are not met they only see a number and not the circumstances that surround the reason. There is little support from managers and corporate associates to find the services and products I need to supply contractor customers."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Spend some time with your employees while they are working to see how they work, what common issues tend to be, what customers want and have to say, and how they can be supported to grow and develop new hires."
