What do you like about working at Home Depot?
"I was a human resource manager at The Home Depot. They downsized the human resource managers within each store. I was asked to transfer to another Home Depot as an assistant manager. I preferred working as a human resource manager as opposed to an assistant manager."
What don't you like about working at Home Depot?
"I did not like the management staff I worked for when I transferred to an assistant manager. They did not welcome me because of my human resource background. I felt they thought I was a threat to them."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"I have none at this time, as the management staff I worked for last was not open for suggestions."

"I like helping customers out with the things that they need."

"Don't take the job. You'd be better off on unemployment. They pay more!!!!!"

"They take advantage of their employees. They do not pay their employees appropriately."

"I would make sure that every employee, EVERY employee, has a good salary. Home Depot is probably the poorest paying store that I have ever been in. You guys have employees that can't even meet there bills with what you pay. It's actually an insult. I have moved from garden to flooring to flooring specialist and got a whole .50 for making Home Depot over 500,000 in six months. Sound fair to you"

"I disliked the very small space to work in, and there was too much micromanagement. I was not allowed to use my total skills to do all repairs as needed to help customers get their tools back in a timely manner."

"Allow those who can do the job, to do the job.Give them the opportunity to either fail or succeed with the talents they have, or provide training where they are lacking."

"It's been great therapy for my knee. Other than that, I can't live on a part-time 10-dollar an hour part-time job."
